Aniket Sen 

I put quantum fields on a lattice — and write the high-performance code that makes them run.

I'm a postdoctoral researcher in lattice QCD at the Helmholtz-Institut für Strahlen- und Kernphysik (HISKP), University of Bonn. I am part of the Computational Physics Group.

My work sits on the boundary between theoretical physics and high-performance computing: building performance-portable, efficient and scalable libraries for lattice field theory simulations for the current and next generation of supercomputers. I also work on optimizing algorithms and implementing them on modern HPC architectures. I work with the Extended Twisted Mass Collaboration (ETMC) on various hadron structure projects.

Outside of physics, I co-lead the Polyglot project. Here I bring my HPC expertise to developing open source foundation models for low-resource languages.
